Ingredients:

• Juice from 2 passion fruits
• 1.5 tbsp sugar

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F.

The store-bought jar never lasts more than a day in my house—so I started making this big batch at home! It’s tangy, crunchy, and loaded with bold flavor. Perfect for sandwiches, salads, or snacking straight from the jar.

Vegetables:
• 2 carrots, thinly sliced
• 3 banana peppers
• 1 small cauliflower, chopped
• 4 celery stalks, sliced
• 1–3 jalapeños (I used 3 for heat)
• 1 yellow onion, sliced
• 1 red bell pepper, chopped
• 10 garlic cloves, smashed

Brine:
• 6 cups water
• 6 cups white distilled vinegar
• 1/3 cup sea salt
• 2 tsp black peppercorns
• 2 tsp fennel seed
• 2 tsp coriander seeds
• 2 tsp mustard seeds
• 3 bay leaves

Instructions:
1. Rinse and chop all veggies and place them in a large glass jar or pickling container.
2. In a pot, heat vinegar and water until steaming.
3. Stir in salt and spices until dissolved, then remove from heat and let cool completely.
4. Strain the aromatics if desired, then pour brine over the veggies.
5. Seal and refrigerate for at least 48 hours before enjoying.

Make a big batch—you’ll be glad you did.

A pinch of sea salt

Salt and pepper to taste

-Combine the first 7 ingredients and roast uncovered in the oven at 300F for 1 hour
-Broil on low for an additional 3 to 5 minutes for a charred look
-Spread the ricotta on the bottom of a serving dish. Sprinkle salt and pepper and top with the roasted tomatoes.
-Serve with a toasted baguette or crackers

•Mix together and form into 1-1.5” balls. Makes 18-20
•Space the mestballs evenly on an oiled baking sheet.
•Place oven rack on bottom middle rack and broil on high for 10-12 minutes or until tops start to brown.
•Remove from oven and simmer with lid on,  in your favorite marinara sauce for 20+ minutes.
•Plate on top of your favorite pasta and sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan and fresh basil.

A juicy, crispy fried chicken cutlet topped with your favorite salad and a squeeze of lemon. It’s hard not to get addicted to this one!

Ingredients
Cutlets:
1 chicken breast, halved and flattened
1/3 cup each AP flour, heavy cream, panko
2 cups avocado oil

Seasoning:
1 tsp each salt, ground black pepper, mustard powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder

Salad:
Thinly sliced romaine
1/2 thinly sliced shallot
Chopped parsley
Caesar dressing
Grated Parmesan
Lemon wedges

Instructions
Flatten chicken to 1/2 inch, season both sides, then dredge in flour, heavy cream, and panko. Let rest 15 minutes. Heat oil to 375°F and fry 3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F internal). Drain on paper towels, sprinkle salt, and cool 5 minutes. Toss salad ingredients, place on top of the cutlet, and finish with Parmesan and a squeeze of lemon.

I use heavy cream instead of egg wash — it keeps the chicken extra juicy and tender. But egg wash works too!

Optional for a touch of lemon flavor:

Ingredients:
1 cup heavy cream
Freshly cracked black pepper (5 turns)
1/4 cup pasta water
1/2 lemon juice
1 cup grated parmesan
1 cup pistachio pesto
12 oz pasta of choice
Salt and pepper to taste
Crushed pistachios and fresh basil to garnish

Pistachio Pesto:
2 cups of lightly packed fresh basil leaves
5 cloves of garlic
1/3 cup pistachios
1/3 cup fresh parmesan reggiano (a chunk or shredded is okay)
1/4-1/3 cup quality olive oil
1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
*Blend everything in a food processor 

-Cook pasta al dente and set aside. Save 1 cup of pasta water for the sauce.
-Combine first 5 ingredients and mix until melted together.
-Add in the pasta and pesto and mix to combine.
-Garnish with fresh basil and crushed pistachios.

Using @abcsauces Sweet Soy sauce adds the perfect amount of sweet and savory umami.

Sweet & Spicy garlic sauce:
1 tbsp butter
1/3 cup @abcsauces sweet soy
1 tbsp gochugaru
1 tbsp brown sugar
3 cloves minced garlic 
2 tbsp mirin 
1tsp sesame oil 

Fried Chicken:
Four full chicken wings or eight pieces of flats or drums.
1 tsp salt
.5 tsp black pepper
1 inch piece ginger grated 
1/2 cup potato starch

Marinate wings with salt, pepper, and ginger for at least 2 hours.
Coat in potato starch.

Fry twice for max crisp:
👉 First at 320°F for 5 mins
👉 Rest briefly, then fry again at 350°F for another 5 mins

Toss in that sweet & spicy garlic glaze. Garnish with green onions.

Ingredients:
2 large onions
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 broth
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon cane sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Thyme
1/3 cup ricotta 
1/4 cup grated guyere
1 pie crust
1 egg, for egg wash

1)First caramelize the onions but not fully as they will continue cooking in the oven. 
2)To a rolled out pie dough, spread 1/3 cup of ricotta in the center. Leave about 2 inches around to fold the edged of the crust over.
3)Sprinkle either freshly cracked black pepper and some grated guyere cheese.
4)Top with the caramelized onions, more gruyere cheese, and fresh thyme.
5)Gently fold over the edges of the dough and coat with an egg wash.
6)Bake according to your pie dough, I used a premade pillsbury dough with called for 375F for 20-25 minutes until the crust is golden and flaky.

Garnish with more fresh time and serve hot

This super flavorful one pot recipe is a favorite from my childhood and it hits every time ❤️‍🔥

Ingredients:

Mojo chicken marinade:
- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp all-purpose seasoning
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 3 garlic cloves, grated
- Juice of 1 sour orange (or 2 tbsp orange juice + 1 tbsp lime juice)
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 tbsp olive oil

Rice and Sofrito:
- 1 onion, diced
- ½ red bell pepper, diced
- ½ green bell pepper, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups long-grain white rice, rinsed
- 1 generous pinch saffron threads (about ¼ tsp)
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon all purpose seasoning 
- salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup light beer (or chicken broth)
- 3 cups chicken broth, warm
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 cup frozen peas
- ½ cup pimento-stuffed green olives, sliced
- Chopped parsley or cilantro, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving

1. Marinate chicken in sour orange, lime juice, garlic, cumin, and spices—let it soak up all the flavor marinating for 4-8 hrs
2. Sear on all sides until golden and crisp, remove from pan. 
3. In the same pan, build your sofrito with onions, peppers, and garlic, then simmer with tomato sauce.
4. Stir in ground saffron and toast the rice until fragrant.
5. Pour in beer + warm broth, add bay leaves, and nestle the chicken on top.
6. Cover and simmer until rice is tender and chicken is juicy. (About 25 minutes)
7.Finish with peas and olives.
8.Let it rest, garnish with cilantro and lime wedges.

*Combine all ingredients and let mixture marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours for the best flavor. Let come to room temperature at least 30 minutes before cooking.

1. Preheat oven to 425F
2. Grease a sheet pan with oil.
3. Add the mixture and spread evenly.
4. Cut into kebab shapes using a spatula.
5. Bake on the bottom rack for 10 minutes.
6. Broil on the top rack for 3 minutes on high. 
7. Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes

Ingredients:
1 stick 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon miso
1 bag of mini marshmallows (10oz)
6 cups Rice Krispies
2 tablespoons furikake (optional)

1)Line 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper 
2)Brown butter on low heat and mix in miso paste, then add in and melt the marshmallows. Turn off heat.
3)Pour in the Rice Krispies and furikake and mix to combine.
4)Spread evenly in the lined baking pan and push down to compact let cool,cut,and enjoy!

Ingredients:
Skirt steak 
Truffle tartufata @borgodemedici 
Sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese
Avocado oil or neutral oil for cooking

Gremolata:
1 Shallot
2 garlic cloves minced
Chopped parsley 
Olive oil 
Salt and pepper to taste

•Assemble the pinwheels and tie with kitchen twine. Pinwheels should be 1 inch to 1.5 inch thickness.
•On medium high heat sear each side for two minutes to form a crust. Lower heat to medium low and cover for 5 to 8 minutes, depending on your preference. 5 minutes for medium rare.
•Remove from pan and let rest for 10 minutes. 
•For the gremolata: saute shallots and garlic in the same pan and mix with chopped parsley, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

My favorite way to use leftover chili.

Ingredients:
8 ounces of cooked pasta, half a box 
2 tablespoons butter 
One cup, heavy cream 
1/2 cup reserved pasta water 
One cup, shredded or cubed cheese 
2 cups of premade chili

-Cook pasta and reserve ½ cup of the pasta water. Drain and set aside.
-In a large sauté pan, melt 2 oz of butter. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and the reserved pasta water. Once it starts to simmer, add shredded cheese and stir until melted.
-Add 2 cups of premade chili and mix until well combined. Toss in the pasta and coat evenly with the sauce.
-Garnish with green onions, cilantro, and jalapeño.

Ahi tuna steaks, 3/4–1 inch thick
Furikake seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
Sesame oil, for searing

For the Wasabi Aioli:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1–2 teaspoons wasabi paste (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon mirin
1 tablespoon lemon juice (about half a lemon)
1 small garlic clove, finely grated
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Pinch of salt

Instructions
1. Bring to Room Temp: Let ahi sit out for 30–60 minutes.
2. Make Aioli: Mix mayo, wasabi, mirin, grated garlic, sugar, and salt. Chill.
3. Season Ahi: Pat steaks dry, season with salt and pepper, press furikake to coat.
4. Sear: Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear steaks 45–60 seconds per side (cook longer if you prefer it less rare).

1 tsp salt
1 tsp mustard powder 
1/8 cup chopped parsley

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Line a baking dish or skillet with lemon slices.
3. Pat chicken dry, stuff the cavity with halved lemon and garlic head.
4. Loosen the skin and rub some under it; spread the rest over the outside.
5. Drizzle with olive oil and place breast-side up over the lemons.
6. Roast 1–1½ hours, basting every 30 minutes, until internal temp reaches 165°F.
7. Let rest 15 minutes before carving.

Ingredients
Biscuits:
1 cup fresh blueberries
Zest of 1 lemon
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter, melted

Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions
Preheat oven to 450°F.
1. Pour the melted butter into a 9x9-inch baking dish.
2. In a large mixing bowl, Combine dry ingredients.
3. Add buttermilk and vanilla extract. Gently stir until just combined. Then stir in blueberries and lemon zest.
4. Pour the batter into the baking dish directly over the melted butter.
5. Use a knife to score the top into 9 squares, cutting all the way through so the butter rises and absorbs into each section.
6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked in the center.
7. While the biscuits bake, whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice to make the glaze.
8. Drizzle glaze over warm biscuits and serve.

Comfort food holds a special place in our hearts

Often bringing back cherished memories of family and home. For me, one of the most nostalgic dishes is Zosui, a traditional Japanese rice soup/porridge that my mom used to make with leftover Sukiyaki and rice. Zosui is a perfect way to utilize leftovers, transforms simple ingredients into a warm, satisfying meal.

Zosui is a versatile dish that can be made using leftover Sukiyaki, Nabe, Shabu Shabu, or really any brothy soup. Each variation brings its unique flavor, making Zosui a delightful way to enjoy a taste of Japan in your own kitchen. The beauty of Zosui lies in its adaptability—you can make it as a soupy or thick porridge, depending on your preference.

Try changing it up! If you have left over Korean Kimchi soup, pho, or even a Thai soup use it in the recipe instead. They will all be soooo good.

A Nostalgic Recipe

My mom’s Zosui, made from beef and vegetable Sukiyaki, was a staple in our home. The rich, savory broth from the Sukiyaki, combined with tender rice and a hint of sweetness, made it the ultimate comfort food. Every spoonful is a reminder of cozy family dinners and the love and care my mom put into her cooking.

The basic blueprint for a zosui recipe is 2 cups of broth to 1 cup of cooked rice. And of course whatever left over ingredients that remain in the broth such as thinly sliced beef, tofu, noodles, and/or vegetables.

My Unique Twist on Zosui

While I adore the traditional Zosui my mom used to make, I’ve added my own twist to the recipe over the years. I prefer my Zosui to be thick, almost like a porridge. I achieve this by cooking the rice over low heat and keep adding in broth until the rice aborbs the broth and starts to break down a little bit. To add a bit of a kick, I mix in some kimchi, gochugaru(Korean chili flakes), egg, and cheese, creating a fusion of Japanese and Korean flavors. A drizzle of sesame oil and a sprinkle of green onions on top give it a fragrant finish that is simply irresistible!

It’s savory, creamy, and spicy!


Tips

Creating a delicious and comforting Zosui is both an art and a science. Here are some tips to help you achieve the perfect bowl of this Japanese comfort food:

1. Use Quality Leftovers: The base of your Zosui is the leftover broth from Sukiyaki, Nabe, or Shabu Shabu. Ensure that your leftovers are well-seasoned and flavorful. The richer the broth, the more delicious your Zosui will be.

2. Choose the Right Rice: Short-grain rice is ideal for Zosui as it becomes pleasantly tender and slightly sticky, giving the dish a wonderful texture. Leftover rice works perfectly as it absorbs the broth well.

3. Control the Consistency: For a soupier Zosui, add more broth or water. If you prefer a thicker, porridge-like consistency, let the rice simmer longer to absorb more liquid. Stirring frequently helps break down the rice for a creamier texture.

4. Balance the Flavors: Taste your broth before adding the rice. If it’s too salty, dilute it with water or unsalted broth. If it needs more flavor, add a splash of soy sauce, a dash of mirin, or a bit of miso paste.

5. Add Vegetables and Proteins: Enhance your Zosui with additional vegetables or proteins. Common additions include mushrooms, spinach, tofu, and thinly sliced meats. Add them towards the end of cooking to avoid overcooking.

6. Experiment with Seasonings: Don’t be afraid to experiment with different seasonings. Ingredients like ginger, garlic, and chili flakes can add a new dimension to your Zosui. For a unique twist, try adding kimchi and gochugaru like I do in my recipe.

7. Garnish Thoughtfully: Garnishes not only add flavor but also enhance the presentation. Green onions, sesame seeds, nori strips, or a drizzle of sesame oil can elevate your Zosui.

8. Utilize an Egg & Cheese for Extra Creaminess: Adding an egg and cheese can make your Zosui extra creamy. You can crack an egg directly into the pot and stir gently until it’s cooked, or beat an egg and slowly drizzle it in while stirring to create egg ribbons.

9. Serve Hot and Fresh: Zosui is best enjoyed hot and fresh. The texture and flavors are at their peak right after cooking. Serve it immediately for the best experience.

10. Adjust for Dietary Preferences: Zosui is highly adaptable. For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth and load up on veggies. For a gluten-free option, ensure all seasonings and broths used are gluten-free.

By following these tips, you can create a delicious and comforting Zosui that suits your taste preferences and dietary needs. Whether you enjoy it as a thick porridge or a light soup, Zosui is a versatile dish that can be customized to your liking. Happy cooking!

  • 2 cups of leftover Sukiyaki, Nabe, or Shabu Shabu broth (with any left over meat and veggies)
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/3 cup kimchi
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru, korean red chili flakes (optional for added spice)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 beaten egg, raw (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese, i like parmesan but any white shredded cheese pairs well
  • Chopped green onion for garnish

Instructions :

  4. Adjust the Thickness: If you prefer a thicker Zosui, let it cook a bit longer until it reaches your desired consistency. For a more soupy texture, add a little water or additional broth.
  5. Add the Egg (Optional): If you like, you can carefully pour in the egg stirring gently until it’s cooked through.
  6. Make it Cheesy: sprinkle in the shredded cheese and stir until it’s melted.
  7. Finish with Flavor: Drizzle with more sesame oil and top with green onions.

These golden bites are topped with a tropical whipped blend using @celebrity_goat Original Goat Cheese Log—made with 100% pure goat’s milk for a smooth, tangy finish that pairs beautifully with fresh passion fruit and a touch of honey.
Ingredients:
• 3 @celebrity_goat Original Goat Cheese Logs
• Juice from 2 passion fruits
• 1.5 tbsp sugar
• 1 sheet puff pastry, cut into 9 squares
• 1 egg (for egg wash)
• Honey, for drizzling

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F.

The store-bought jar never lasts more than a day in my house—so I started making this big batch at home! It’s tangy, crunchy, and loaded with bold flavor. Perfect for sandwiches, salads, or snacking straight from the jar.

Vegetables:
• 2 carrots, thinly sliced
• 3 banana peppers
• 1 small cauliflower, chopped
• 4 celery stalks, sliced
• 1–3 jalapeños (I used 3 for heat)
• 1 yellow onion, sliced
• 1 red bell pepper, chopped
• 10 garlic cloves, smashed

Brine:
• 6 cups water
• 6 cups white distilled vinegar
• 1/3 cup sea salt
• 2 tsp black peppercorns
• 2 tsp fennel seed
• 2 tsp coriander seeds
• 2 tsp mustard seeds
• 3 bay leaves

Instructions:
1. Rinse and chop all veggies and place them in a large glass jar or pickling container.
2. In a pot, heat vinegar and water until steaming.
3. Stir in salt and spices until dissolved, then remove from heat and let cool completely.
4. Strain the aromatics if desired, then pour brine over the veggies.
5. Seal and refrigerate for at least 48 hours before enjoying.

Make a big batch—you’ll be glad you did.

Ingredients:
2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
Fresh thyme
1/2 tsp red chili flakes
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
A pinch of sea salt
1 cup or more ricotta
Salt and pepper to taste

-Combine the first 7 ingredients and roast uncovered in the oven at 300F for 1 hour
-Broil on low for an additional 3 to 5 minutes for a charred look
-Spread the ricotta on the bottom of a serving dish. Sprinkle salt and pepper and top with the roasted tomatoes.
-Serve with a toasted baguette or crackers

*Cooking low and slow and ensures that the tomatoes and garlic don’t burn and brings out the tomatoes natural sweetness.

.5 lb ground beef
.5 lb ground Italian sausage 
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs 
1 egg 
1/2 small onion finely chopped 
5 cloves garlic 
1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper 
1 teaspoonsdried oregano 
1 teaspoon dried thyme 

•Mix together and form into 1-1.5” balls. Makes 18-20
•Space the mestballs evenly on an oiled baking sheet.
•Place oven rack on bottom middle rack and broil on high for 10-12 minutes or until tops start to brown.
•Remove from oven and simmer with lid on,  in your favorite marinara sauce for 20+ minutes.
•Plate on top of your favorite pasta and sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan and fresh basil.

A juicy, crispy fried chicken cutlet topped with your favorite salad and a squeeze of lemon. It’s hard not to get addicted to this one!

Ingredients
Cutlets:
1 chicken breast, halved and flattened
1/3 cup each AP flour, heavy cream, panko
2 cups avocado oil

Seasoning:
1 tsp each salt, ground black pepper, mustard powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder

Salad:
Thinly sliced romaine
1/2 thinly sliced shallot
Chopped parsley
Caesar dressing
Grated Parmesan
Lemon wedges

Instructions
Flatten chicken to 1/2 inch, season both sides, then dredge in flour, heavy cream, and panko. Let rest 15 minutes. Heat oil to 375°F and fry 3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F internal). Drain on paper towels, sprinkle salt, and cool 5 minutes. Toss salad ingredients, place on top of the cutlet, and finish with Parmesan and a squeeze of lemon.

I use heavy cream instead of egg wash — it keeps the chicken extra juicy and tender. But egg wash works too!

Just throw everything in a food processor and you get this bright and nutty pesto that wows. 

👉🏽Use it in pasta, pizzas, or sandwiches. Check out my last reel, I make a pesto pasta with it:

2 cups of lightly packed fresh basil leaves
5 cloves of garlic
1/3 cup pistachios
1/3 cup fresh Parmesan Reggiano (a chunk or shredded is okay)
1/4-1/3 cup quality olive oil
1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Optional for a touch of lemon flavor:
The zest of 1/4 of a lemon (about 1/4 of a lemon)
1 tablespoon lemon juice

*Blend everything together in a food processor

Tastes like summer in Italy. My favorite recipe from last summer.

Ingredients:
1 cup heavy cream
Freshly cracked black pepper (5 turns)
1/4 cup pasta water
1/2 lemon juice
1 cup grated parmesan
1 cup pistachio pesto
12 oz pasta of choice
Salt and pepper to taste
Crushed pistachios and fresh basil to garnish

Pistachio Pesto:
2 cups of lightly packed fresh basil leaves
5 cloves of garlic
1/3 cup pistachios
1/3 cup fresh parmesan reggiano (a chunk or shredded is okay)
1/4-1/3 cup quality olive oil
1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
*Blend everything in a food processor 

-Cook pasta al dente and set aside. Save 1 cup of pasta water for the sauce.
-Combine first 5 ingredients and mix until melted together.
-Add in the pasta and pesto and mix to combine.
-Garnish with fresh basil and crushed pistachios.

Using @abcsauces Sweet Soy sauce adds the perfect amount of sweet and savory umami.

Sweet & Spicy garlic sauce:
1 tbsp butter
1/3 cup @abcsauces sweet soy
1 tbsp gochugaru
1 tbsp brown sugar
3 cloves minced garlic 
2 tbsp mirin 
1tsp sesame oil 

Fried Chicken:
Four full chicken wings or eight pieces of flats or drums.
1 tsp salt
.5 tsp black pepper
1 inch piece ginger grated 
1/2 cup potato starch

Marinate wings with salt, pepper, and ginger for at least 2 hours.
Coat in potato starch.

Fry twice for max crisp:
👉 First at 320°F for 5 mins
👉 Rest briefly, then fry again at 350°F for another 5 mins

Toss in that sweet & spicy garlic glaze. Garnish with green onions.

French Onion Soup Galette - a ricotta base topped French Onion Soup Galette - a ricotta base topped with caramelized onions, gruyere cheese, and thyme hugged in a flaky piecrust. 🧅🧀🥧🥰

Ingredients:
2 large onions
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 broth
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon cane sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Thyme
1/3 cup ricotta 
1/4 cup grated guyere
1 pie crust
1 egg, for egg wash

1)First caramelize the onions but not fully as they will continue cooking in the oven. 
2)To a rolled out pie dough, spread 1/3 cup of ricotta in the center. Leave about 2 inches around to fold the edged of the crust over.
3)Sprinkle either freshly cracked black pepper and some grated guyere cheese.
4)Top with the caramelized onions, more gruyere cheese, and fresh thyme.
5)Gently fold over the edges of the dough and coat with an egg wash.
6)Bake according to your pie dough, I used a premade pillsbury dough with called for 375F for 20-25 minutes until the crust is golden and flaky.

Garnish with more fresh time and serve hot

This super flavorful one pot recipe is a favorite from my childhood and it hits every time ❤️‍🔥

Ingredients:

Mojo chicken marinade:
- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp all-purpose seasoning
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 3 garlic cloves, grated
- Juice of 1 sour orange (or 2 tbsp orange juice + 1 tbsp lime juice)
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 tbsp olive oil

Rice and Sofrito:
- 1 onion, diced
- ½ red bell pepper, diced
- ½ green bell pepper, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups long-grain white rice, rinsed
- 1 generous pinch saffron threads (about ¼ tsp)
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon all purpose seasoning 
- salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup light beer (or chicken broth)
- 3 cups chicken broth, warm
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 cup frozen peas
- ½ cup pimento-stuffed green olives, sliced
- Chopped parsley or cilantro, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving

1. Marinate chicken in sour orange, lime juice, garlic, cumin, and spices—let it soak up all the flavor marinating for 4-8 hrs
2. Sear on all sides until golden and crisp, remove from pan. 
3. In the same pan, build your sofrito with onions, peppers, and garlic, then simmer with tomato sauce.
4. Stir in ground saffron and toast the rice until fragrant.
5. Pour in beer + warm broth, add bay leaves, and nestle the chicken on top.
6. Cover and simmer until rice is tender and chicken is juicy. (About 25 minutes)
7.Finish with peas and olives.
8.Let it rest, garnish with cilantro and lime wedges.

Ingredients: 
1 lbs ground lamb
1 lb ground beef
(Or 2lbs ground meat of choice)
1 medium onion in food processor 
8 cloves garlic in food processor 
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 teaspoons salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika 
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp Garam masala
Olive oil for sheet pan

*Combine all ingredients and let mixture marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours for the best flavor. Let come to room temperature at least 30 minutes before cooking.

1. Preheat oven to 425F
2. Grease a sheet pan with oil.
3. Add the mixture and spread evenly.
4. Cut into kebab shapes using a spatula.
5. Bake on the bottom rack for 10 minutes.
6. Broil on the top rack for 3 minutes on high. 
7. Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes

This umami packed, no bake, sweet treat comes together in 10 minutes. 

Ingredients:
1 stick 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon miso
1 bag of mini marshmallows (10oz)
6 cups Rice Krispies
2 tablespoons furikake (optional)

1)Line 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper 
2)Brown butter on low heat and mix in miso paste, then add in and melt the marshmallows. Turn off heat.
3)Pour in the Rice Krispies and furikake and mix to combine.
4)Spread evenly in the lined baking pan and push down to compact let cool,cut,and enjoy!

Skirt steak stuffed with truffle tartufata and provolone, topped with a gremolata 😘🤌🏽

🐂 Kauai grass fed, dry aged beef from @ranchersdaughtersreserve 

Ingredients:
Skirt steak 
Truffle tartufata @borgodemedici 
Sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese
Avocado oil or neutral oil for cooking

Gremolata:
1 Shallot
2 garlic cloves minced
Chopped parsley 
Olive oil 
Salt and pepper to taste

•Assemble the pinwheels and tie with kitchen twine. Pinwheels should be 1 inch to 1.5 inch thickness.
•On medium high heat sear each side for two minutes to form a crust. Lower heat to medium low and cover for 5 to 8 minutes, depending on your preference. 5 minutes for medium rare.
•Remove from pan and let rest for 10 minutes. 
•For the gremolata: saute shallots and garlic in the same pan and mix with chopped parsley, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

My favorite way to use leftover chili.

Ingredients:
8 ounces of cooked pasta, half a box 
2 tablespoons butter 
One cup, heavy cream 
1/2 cup reserved pasta water 
One cup, shredded or cubed cheese 
2 cups of premade chili

-Cook pasta and reserve ½ cup of the pasta water. Drain and set aside.
-In a large sauté pan, melt 2 oz of butter. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and the reserved pasta water. Once it starts to simmer, add shredded cheese and stir until melted.
-Add 2 cups of premade chili and mix until well combined. Toss in the pasta and coat evenly with the sauce.
-Garnish with green onions, cilantro, and jalapeño.

Ingredients

Ahi tuna steaks, 3/4–1 inch thick
Furikake seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
Sesame oil, for searing

For the Wasabi Aioli:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1–2 teaspoons wasabi paste (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon mirin
1 tablespoon lemon juice (about half a lemon)
1 small garlic clove, finely grated
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Pinch of salt

Instructions
1. Bring to Room Temp: Let ahi sit out for 30–60 minutes.
2. Make Aioli: Mix mayo, wasabi, mirin, grated garlic, sugar, and salt. Chill.
3. Season Ahi: Pat steaks dry, season with salt and pepper, press furikake to coat.
4. Sear: Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear steaks 45–60 seconds per side (cook longer if you prefer it less rare).
5. Serve: Slice and serve over rice with wasabi aioli.

Ingredients:
1 whole chicken (3–4 lbs)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup of lemon garlic butter
3 lemons
1 head of garlic

Lemon garlic butter:
8oz softened salted butter
Zest of 1 lemon
5 garlic cloves grated
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp mustard powder 
1/8 cup chopped parsley

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Line a baking dish or skillet with lemon slices.
3. Pat chicken dry, stuff the cavity with halved lemon and garlic head.
4. Loosen the skin and rub some under it; spread the rest over the outside.
5. Drizzle with olive oil and place breast-side up over the lemons.
6. Roast 1–1½ hours, basting every 30 minutes, until internal temp reaches 165°F.
7. Let rest 15 minutes before carving.
*Let chicken sit out at room temperature for about 30 minutes for a more even cooking.

This recipe is inspired by my friend’s @glitterandchopsticks I never heard of swim biscuits until she shared her recipe! And now I know why they’re called swim biscuits because they be swimming in butter that somehow magically absorbed by the batter. 😍🏊🏼‍♀️

Ingredients
Biscuits:
1 cup fresh blueberries
Zest of 1 lemon
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter, melted

Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions
Preheat oven to 450°F.
1. Pour the melted butter into a 9x9-inch baking dish.
2. In a large mixing bowl, Combine dry ingredients.
3. Add buttermilk and vanilla extract. Gently stir until just combined. Then stir in blueberries and lemon zest.
4. Pour the batter into the baking dish directly over the melted butter.
5. Use a knife to score the top into 9 squares, cutting all the way through so the butter rises and absorbs into each section.
6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked in the center.
7. While the biscuits bake, whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice to make the glaze.
8. Drizzle glaze over warm biscuits and serve.
