Looking for the perfect light Summer meal?
Then you have to try my Best EVER Creamy Steak Salad w/feta. This savory steak salad is my go to for dinner at least once a week. With a variety of chopped vegetables, fresh squeezed lemon juice, crumbled feta cheese, & topped with juicy steak, this salad won’t leave you hungry!
This steak salad is a fresh and low carb option. It is super easy to prepare can be customized to your taste.
Cooking a tender/juicy steak at home is not only easy, but budget friendly. It takes only 1 minute to prep and cooks in under 10 minutes! Simply season room temperature steak with salt, pepper, and oil and leave the rest of the salad to enhance the flavor of the dish. I prefer using ribeye or top sirloin about 1- 1.5 inches thick, but this salad pairs perfect with any cut of steak or a different protein if you don’t eat beef.
*Tip*
Pat dry the steak with a paper towel on both sides before seasoning for the optimal crust!
While it is suggested to cook your steak in a high heat oil like avocado, canola, or vegetable oil, I like to cook mine in my garlic confit oil when I have it on hand to enhance the flavor of the steak. If you prefer your steak medium – medium rare like I do, then you only need 2.5 -3 minutes on each side. If your prefer a more well done steak, cook for 5 minutes on each side. Let your steak rest for 10 minutes after removing from heat and slice into thin bite-sized pieces.
Too Easy!!!
My favorite vegetable combination for this salad includes:
- Tomato
- Cucumber
- Red onion
- Curly Parsley (trust me)
- Lettuce
Chop all the above ingredients or customize to your liking.
The final ingredients to finish off the mouthwatering salad:
- Crumbled feta or gorganzola cheese
- Fresh squeezed lemon juice for a citrusy brightness
- Vinaigrette or creamy caesar dressing
Toss everything together and top with steak!
